In recent years, there are increasing concerns for environmental conservation globally. The Directive 2002/95/EC on the Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronics equipment (RoHS) was issued in February 2003. The RoHS directive restricts the use of the following substances on products sold into European markets from July 1, 2006: Lead Mercury Cadmium Hexavalent Chromium Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)Other countries around the world are considering and/or have implemented regulations that are similar to EU RoHS. The UDEMAN EU RoHS Specification applies to all materials, parts, components and/or products (whether finished or semi-finished) that have this specification cited on or in their UDEMAN part number drawing, part or product specifications, sourcing agreements, purchase contracts, purchase orders or other purchasing documentation.
